Champagne d’Argents are one of the sweetest large breed rabbits you will find! They make excellent pets due to their good nature. They are calm rabbits that love attention. This heritage breed is known to have existed for over 400 years, making it one of the oldest breeds on record. Historically, they were raised in walled pens in French monasteries for a source of meat, manure, and fur. Champagnes gradually change color from jet black to silver as they grow. The silvering begins around 4 weeks old. Click to see their Color Transformation. Adult Champagnes weigh 9-12 pounds.

... the perfect description of the Champagne d'Argent.
