Champagne d’Argents are one of the sweetest large breed rabbits you will find! They make excellent pets due to their good nature. They are calm rabbits that love attention. This heritage breed is known to have existed for over 400 years, making it one of the oldest breeds on record. Historically, they were raised in walled pens in French monasteries as a source of meat, manure, and fur. Champagnes gradually change color from jet black to silver as they grow. The silvering begins around 4 weeks old. Click to see their Color Transformation. Adult Champagnes weigh 9-12 pounds.

We keep a breeding herd of 4 bucks and 8 does. This allows us to provide fully unrelated pairs and trios. The rabbits pictured below are examples of our stock. We don't list every rabbit but they should give you an idea of the high-quality rabbits we raise at BHA Rabbitry. We've been working with Champagnes for over 10 years and selectively breed for fast growth, meaty body type, and good mothering. Our rabbits are calm, sweet, and love attention.
